Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Irving is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Irving is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

1999 Toyota Camry that the local Toyota dealer screwed up when they replaced the rear main seal which likely started leaking when the put 0-20w oil in it. So, shifting hard, took to another transmission shop and didn't make any progress. Finally after taking it back to the dealer one more time and had their senior tech (20+ years) test drive and review, no further progress. So, in final attempt, called and talked to Alejandro. Very pleasing experience to have him provide his opinion and then take a test drive and then make a couple of adjustments on the road test to the throttle body cable and solve the problem. Honest man who cares and knows more than many. Would be a much better world if people had his ethical standard and experience. I wish him all the good he deserves for handling his business as he does. Sincerely, Pat Sparks

Alejandro with AMD Transmission made me feel very comfortable with his knowledge and honesty about what was wrong with my vehicle! I took my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for a possible transmission issues and he mentioned that it a wheel bearing. Super cool and honest. Will use AMD for all my auto needs in the future. Thank you so much.

Wonderful, wonderful experience. My Chevy Impala started leaking transmission fluid and I did not know what to do. I took it to a few other places and was conned out of A LOT of money, but when I called AMD they were truly a blessing. They were honest, fair and reasonably priced. They diagnosed my problem explained everything and did not take advantage. They did great, quality work, diagnosed the problem and fixed my car in a timely fashion. And the price was good, honest, fair, and reasonable. If you have transmission problems I highly recommend AMD especially for good, honest, high quality work and treatment.

AMD Transmission rebuilt the transmission in my 3500 dodge ram using the sonnax kit. They received the truck on 3/16/2023 and had me ready on 3/21/2023. Alejandro the owner is an awesome person, very personable and honest. I originally contacted him about my classic1970 Chevy C10 transmission months prior. I missed a few scheduled days to get the C10 to his shop. He was so professional and patient through this missed appointment. He did a such amazing job on the 3500 ram. I was rushing to get the C10 in his shop. He rebuilt the C10 transmission as well. And again the work was done timely and done right. 10 star review on each truck service. 10 star on professionalism, communication, timely service amd prices. Thanks for the great service Alejandro Owner of AMD Transmission!!!
